Coopbank Continues Tree Planting

As part of this year’s Green Legacy Program, Coopbank has planted 3,000 tree seedlings in Addis Ababa, in collaboration with staff from the Head Office and the five Finfinne Districts. This effort builds on the successful launch of the program held recently in Adama.
In line with our commitment to environmental sustainability, Coopbank aims to plant a total of 40,000 saplings across the nation this year. The initiative is being implemented with active participation from 17 districts, reflecting our dedication to a greener Ethiopia and a more resilient future.

Coopbank Hosts Management Workshop in Adama

Coopbank successfully held a high-impact Management Workshop in Adama, bringing together over 1,000 District and Branch Managers from across the country. The event marked a major milestone in the Bank’s commitment to building a future-ready, customer-driven, and socially responsible institution.

The workshop focused on performance review, strategic direction, leadership development, and digital transformation. Breakout sessions encouraged active idea sharing and collaboration among management teams.

In his opening remarks, CEO Obbo Deribie Asfaw emphasized the importance of innovation, teamwork, and customer-first thinking. Board Chairperson Aadde Meskerem Debebe also delivered an inspiring closing speech, underscoring the Bank’s strategic vision.

A key highlight was the recognition ceremony honoring top-performing Districts, Branches, and Leaders. The program concluded with a tree-planting activity as part of the Green Legacy Campaign, reinforcing Coopbank’s commitment to sustainability.
